1857 – First Recorded Preacher for the ‘Anniversary Sermons’ on April 12th was Rev. Thomas Pearson

Records show that Sunday School Trips date back to 1886

1886 – Harmonium purchased from Mr. J. D. Styring for £2

1889 – 500 Hymn papers purchase for ‘sermons’

1893 – 9 dozen Hymn books and bibles purchased from the Joy Full News Van

1921 – Proposed that the children form a procession and go around the village

1922 – Proposed that we go round singing on Whit Monday Morning (First Mention of Singing)

1945 – Proposed that we go round singing on Whit Monday Morning at 9.30 prompt. That Hymn no. 4 out of the Sunday school book be sung and anniversary hymns and also that we have a dray to carry piano

1948 – Proposed that a Gala be held for the 100th Anniversary and that a Gala Queen be elected
